Andy Warhol: "Other Voices, Other Rooms" exhibit at the
Wexner Center in Columbus

See Andy Warhol's work like you've never seen it before. This exhibit explores afresh the remarkable legacy of an artist who transformed the cultural landscape of his time, and foretold today's media-obsessed society. “Other Voices, Other Rooms” sheds new light on the celebrated pop artist and focuses on the ideas at the heart of his work: embracing consumer culture, exploring sexual identity, challenging social conventions, and erasing distinctions between high
and low culture.

The exhibit features films, videos, paintings, drawings, prints, wallpaper, installations, objects, seldom-heard audio recordings, and extraordinary archival material, over 700 items. The Warhol exhibit is at the Wexner Center in Columbus. The show is closing Sunday, Feb. 15. Admission is $8 for adults (18-64), $5 for ages 13-17, and 65 and above, to be paid at the door. We’ll go on Thursday, Feb. 12th, and we will leave from the Senior Center at 10:00 am. The Wexner has an interesting museum store for those wanting a memento. Please bring lunch, a snack and a drink. Valentine's Day Orchid Show at Cox Arboretum

The Cox Arboretum is hosting the area’s orchid society annual Orchid Show on Saturday, February 14, and we are going to go see this amazing free exhibit, leaving the Senior Center at 10:30 am. The arboretum has a charming gift shop and a beautiful botanical library. Bring lunch, a drink and a snack. Preferred sign up time is by Thursday, February 11th, by calling 767-5751.
