Hollandia Botanical Gardens Bulb Festival

April 18 & 19th

The Bulb Festival is a preview of the planned public Garden that is to arise on the 11-acre site of the future Hollandia Botanical Garden at the northeastern edge of the Springfield Center City district. It surrounds the bike path, encompasses both the north and south shores of Buck Creek, and extends from the intersection of Warder and Water Streets to Sherman Avenue.

Over a four-year period, HBG volunteers have planted 18,000 bulbs plus three sets of supplemental bulbs in twenty-two beds. The goal is that the blooms will provide a glimpse of the much more extensive displays to be encountered at the site once the Garden is built.
